About The LBMEC

OUR HISTORY

The Liberia Baptist Missionary and Educational Convention, (LBMEC) was founded in 1880 to bring churches together for fellowship, cooperation, and development of programs in Christian education and evangelism. LBMEC promotes the principles and purpose of the Christian faith and the Baptist denomination for the extension of the kingdom of God in Liberia, Africa and the world through:

  1. Evangelism and missions
  2. Education (Christian and secular)

Ministering to the needs of people through relief and development

Our Mission

 Mission: To facilitate the involvement of Liberian Baptists in national and international evangelism and mission initiatives through:

  1. Prayer
  2. Resourcing
  3. Discipleship programs
  4. Church planting, nurturing, and sustaining of churches
  5. Empowerment of LBMEC members
  6. Sending out of evangelists and missionaries

Our Vision

Vision:  to provide, through the help of the Holy Spirit all people an opportunity to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ and bring them to His saving Grace.
